Good morning, all!
As subscribers of this newsletter know, I send out a weekly newsletter on Tuesday morning and post podcasts the remainder of the week. As always, I thank you for your support.
I am sending out a special edition this morning to rant about the NFL’s ridiculous TV policy, which, to put it mildly sucks. Rather than write it out, I will post an image I placed today on social media:
That the New York Giants once again have a horrible record is not the point. The Patriots are even worse, but time and again the league chooses to shortchange Giants fans by assigning Pats and Giants games at the same time to CBS, where in this case, WFSB-TV 3 repeatedly takes the Patriots game over the Giants. The NFL is aware of this policy in crossover regions but does not care. Fact is, Giants-Philadelphia should have been assigned to FOX, so both the Patriots and Giants games could have been shown. But the NFL does not work that way. The league knows its loyal fans are hooked no matter how mistreated they are.
On the last day of the regular season the NFL’s greed is shining brightly; bright enough to illuminate the middle finger it is giving to fans of the New York Giants.
